Aria Chamberlain, MSW, LCSW-A.S.
Auria Chamberlain has a MSW degree and is currently pursuing Licensure (currently an LCSWA). She received a Masters of Social Work degree from UNCG & A&T in 2012. Auria did her undergraduate work at Bennett College for Women on 2006, completing with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Social Work. She has been working with children and families for nine years. Primary populations served have been low-income individuals/families and some of which were refugees/immigrants/undocumented individuals /families. Special population include: homeless single pregnant women and single parenting pregnant women. Auria is also a single mother of two children under the age of five. She understands the importance of positive parenting and healthy co-parenting practices. She has participated in the YWCA’s doula program, and is working towards her Birth Doula certification, and hopes to be approved at the end of the summer.Auria describes herself to be very organized, detail-oriented, and proficient. She currently serves as an Intensive In-home Team Lead working with adolescents. She has also served as the Director of Client Services for Room At The Inn, a local Greensboro non-profit, serving a special population, homeless, single pregnant and/or parenting and pregnant mothers. She has also held other positions while an undergraduate student, serving as a leader on a board in some capacity. Now venturing back into professional organizations after allowing many aspects of motherhood to take its course, she is beginning with NCPEN!
